One of the more enjoyable parts of planning the wedding in the last few weeks will be
addressing and sending out the invites, followed by the shower itself. Planning can
be so stressful and tedious. Endless details with catering, choosing a photographer, creating a
bridal invitations list and seating chart can overwhelm even the most patient and self-composed
bride. But the games at a shower provide a fun diversion and ensure a great time for the bride
and all the guests. If the centerpiece used is a nice one, it could even be given away as a random
prize during the night!
One common type of games is word games. An example of this is "Finish this
Phrase". What phrases or cliches can fit that time of year, the bride, or the guests invited. It is
simply starting with something like "A watched pot", and then see who responds with "never
boils." Keep track of who gets the most points, and award a prize.
Another fun game that can put the bride to be in the "hot seat" is the "How Well do you know
your Hubby" game. This requires about 20-30 questions to be asked of the groom beforehand,
and can range from innocent questions like "What's his favorite color" to more racy questions
